“Growing Writers” episode 17: voice and variety (A and F blocks)

Mr. Brown (cautiously, with mild trepidation) shares the opening paragraph of his story (A and F blocks), and asks for feedback
In small groups, read aloud together the Japanese story, “In a Grove.  (Download from course blog’s page called “World Fiction.”)
After reading, come to consensus on how best to fit all of the characters’ perspectives into one coherent narrative.  In other words, what happened and how do you know?  What details help you solve the mystery?  Be ready to report the group’s consensus.
With remaining time, we will start watching the film made from this story.
