What aspects of Banquo’s character are emerging in Act Two?  Which lines show these most successfully?  How do these aspects contrast with the developing portrait of Macbeth?  Which lines best reveal his, Macbeth’s, his character?

The synopsis atop page 44 states that “Lady Macbeth dismisses his [Macbeth’s] hallucinations.”  What is she thinking and feeling when she does this?  To what extent does her dismissal highlight the essential differences between her character and his?
